THE DUSTLESS CLEANER

Traditional dry blasting uses grit or sand.

Traditional wet blasting uses grit and masses of water.

Trident Blasters system does use both grit and water but the grit and its attendant dust are kept under tight control by the small amount of water that our system uses.

Wet blasters can use between 3-4 litres of water per minute, we only use about half of one litre per minute which is just enough to coat the individual grit particles with moisture which makes them heavy and once they leave the work face they fall to the ground for collection by brush, shovel or vacuum. As the grit, air and water are all delivered to the work face along the one hose, by the time the mixture reaches the nozzle the water is so heavily aerated that on hitting the work 90% of it is reduced to a mist, which readily disperses.

A widening range of modern media particularly the new plastic media allows work to be successfully carried out on delicate surfaces without the damage associated with the old fashioned systems. We can now use our equipment successfully on woodwork soft masonry, statues and delicate iron works. Greatly widening the scope of use for this type of cleaning.
